Mitch Hurst was exposed to the world of dentistry at an early age. Dentistry has been in the Hurst family for three generations. Mitch’s grandfather was a dentist, as is his uncle, and Mitch’s father is a ceramist. All three men mentored Mitch, giving him a broad and deep appreciation of not only the intricacies and nuances of the ceramist profession, but also an understanding of the dentist’s perspective and the patients’ needs. It’s this approach that has defined Mitch Hurst as a professional and a person.
Mitch went on to start Hurst Dental Studio, a boutique, high-quality dental lab in 2007 with a commitment to creating highly esthetic and functional dental restorations. This combination quickly got Hurst Dental Studio known as one of the premier cosmetic dental labs throughout the USA. In 2006 Mitch became a Certified Dental Technician (CDT), specializing in Ceramics and became a member of other industry organizations whose seminars and events he attends and delivers lectures for regularly.
Mitch is passionate about dental materials and dental photography, developing and teaching courses on them as a key opinion leader (KOL) for several leading dental supply companies across the country. In recent years, Mitch has become a featured subject matter expert within live-patient, full-mouth reconstruction courses taught by a leading Idaho-based doctor. The dental photography Mitch has shot over the years has become a trusted resource for these courses and is being featured in a number of articles and advertisements across the cosmetic dental industry .
